FRED HATFIELD TYPED: When I was living in Columbus, Ohio, we used a KIM-1 to
control an Icom 2 meter transceiver and thought we were in technology heaven.

MIKE SPRAGUE COMMENTS: It is no surprise that the first group of people who
put together an electronic calculating machine were chiefly members of a
model railroad club. Neither is it a surprise that the first owners of
"home" computers were amateur radio operators.

Speaking of the old days, I never have understood the negative reactions that
some people have to messages composed in all capital letters or all
lover-case letters.
