TR> On the quite separate "double-send" issue, the newer Maestro V32bis TR> modems did not exhibit it at all when talking to a Spirit II. As the TR> Spirit II has not changed, therefore the newer version Maestro V32bis TR> modems must have been "fixed". Fraid not. We already know that the double send bug in the Spirit is EXTREMELY timing sensitive because its seen between a pair of Spirits at a much lower frequency than say a Spirit/older Maestro. And that a Binkley with a tiny modification to the timing behind the Spirit fixes the double send FOREVER even with an older Maestro too. So all the newer Maestro V32bis proves is that its timing detail is different to the older Maestro. But since even the older Maestro NEVER sees double sending except when a Spirit or rebadged Spirit is sending the file, AND its seen between pair of Spirits too, we have definitive PROOF that the problem is in the Spirit Trev. @EOT: ---* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/809 934 |
