Fraid not Trev.

I've since seen it twice more - and that out of a sample of
literally hundreds of transfers. About 3 in 10^3
probability, wet finger sez. The Maestro version has a
probability of over 80% of going straight into the error.

I still can't come up with a solid explanation of why
pausing the transfer fixes the problem for that file on a
Maestro, if the fault rate is so high.

(Presumably it has something to do with v42 link negotiation?????)

Got a large towel have you Trev ?

And your 'reason for it is not known' looks pretty sick when
the original is scrutenised, I've put it in the one to Dave.

Try to sweep it under the carpet as furiously as you like
Trev, the fact that its seen between a pair of Spirits is
the COMPELLING evidence that the problem must be in the Spirit.

And then there is the TINY matter of that changing the timing
detail in the Binkley behind the Spirit by a tiny amount fixes
the problem FOREVER over many hundreds of calls to the Spirit.

Closing your eyes to the evidence wont make it go away Trev.
