PD> what is a char **argv ?
It is a pointer to a pointer to type char.
In the given case, it is the address of an array of pointers
to type char which are, in turn, the addresses of arrays of
type char and hold the command line arguments.
char *a = "Hello", *b = " world", *c = "!!\n";
/* three separate pointers to type char */
char *abc[3] = { a, b, c };
/* an array of pointers to type char */
char **ABC = abc;
/* also an array of pointers to type char */
