subject: Re: Dreaded `OS/2 is unable to operate your hard disk`

Ray,

I was trying to avoid the really, really , really long story, but...

I have a new laptop. (acutally my wife's). Just for fun I am trying OS/.2
Warp 4.0 on it. So, I cloned it from the old machine. Problem is, it
won't boot and I need to sysinstx to it to get it to boot. I have no way
to get to that partition so far. The Warp install diskettes didn't do it,
and the UPDCD diskettes don't either. The closest thing so far is the
UPDCD CD, but and you know the rest of the story "unable to
operate".

As far as eComstation is concerned, I am waiting (and have breen for
several months) for 2.0 to come out.
So the kernel on a working Warp 4.0 partition on my hard disk that is
FAST16 file systme and > 1024 cylinders is:
OS2KRNL 849171 7-18-05 1:06p

The one on the UPDCD is:
11-15-00 5:11p 812438 54 OS2KRNL

so what about replacing the one onthe UPDCD with the one on the hard disk?
