Hi -
Did a quick search on the archives but I'm not sure what I saw was ... conclusive.
I'm working on a 10" f4 mirror in my 2nd floor Brooklyn apartment. One
of the snags I've run into, now that I'm about to switch grits, is cleaning
out the dunk bucket. I've heard that grit-and-glass sludge can cause a
plumbing nightmare since it essentially turns to stone in the pipes ...
obviously, for me, cleaning the bucket out in the bathtub is preferable to
filling it, lugging it down to the corner storm drain, over and over and
over ...
I have no backyard, by the way. No yard at all in fact.
One of the posts I did manage to unearth implied that there was no real
danger from sludge turning to rock in the pipes. Does anyone have
experience with this?
I rent and my landlady is unwell, and overall if I caused a plumbing
nightmare I'd be ... well, in for it.
Any feedback on the matter would be appreciated!
Clear skies,
Glenn Becker
