Dear Barry
This is an answer to "both" your queries - the double indent and the date
problem. Both can be solved with a macro but I assume you aren't comfortable
with macros or you would be putting these into macros already.
DOUBLE INDENT - MANUAL Pos cursor in the para. Format, Paragraph, type in
the SAME number for Left [Tab] Right (ie 2cm or 1inch etc) OK. MACRO - Open
a file with a para in it and put the cursor in the para. Tools, Macro, type
in DoubleIndent (no spaces) and give it a description, REcord, Toolbar,
[Close]. Go sowly through the manual steps to indent and click on the Stop
button on the Macro toolbar. Put the cursor in another para and use Tools,
Macro, click on DoubleIndent and click [Run]. If this works put it into a
button to put onto your (or Standard) toolbar. Tools, Customise..., Pull any
buttons you never use into the box (ie AutoFormat). Go down to Macros in the
Catagories box and put the cursor ON the DoubleIndent. HOLD & DRAG to the
toolbar to a space. Finger off. You will see a list of buttons you can use.
Click on one and choose [Assign]. It will remain inuse until you delete
the macro or rmemove the button.
Do the same for the date but call it InsDate. Make sure the Field button is
not selected and the blue bar is at the top of the list before starting. I'd
love to hear how you got on - it is not easy to complex instructions through
this "medium". If anything goes wrong delete your macro and start again bore
putting it into a button.
Regards
Jan Southon
