KJ> First off, are you SURE you have a true pair? If you don't have normal
KJ> greys, sometimes it's tough to be certain your birds are opposite
KJ> sexes! What color are your birds?
Yea, I sure I have a pair, because the gray (male) has the bright yellow
ead,
and the bright orange patches. As far as the latino (female) the person whom
I got the bird from, said that the bird had laid too eggs and thats how they
knew she was a female. So, I think I have a true pair. (hoping)
KJ> Also, they may not like the box--what style, size, and shape is it?
KJ> What are you feeding them? If the diet isn't right, they may not be
KJ> triggered to breed. The light may not be exactly right--not enough, or
KJ> too much. Maybe it shines into the nest too much. Maybe they don't feel
KJ> "safe" where their cage is located--too much family foot traffic
KJ> passing by.
KJ> You get the idea--it may be any number of things that are keeping them
KJ> from breeding. Be patient and try changing things around--ONE thing at
KJ> a time or you won't know what made the difference.
Well, Im getting ready to move in a couple of weeks, so I might try to put
he
birds in a room that is not used and has alot of traffic. I did take another
person's advice, and I put up plexy glass for the door instead of the wood,
so
there would be alittle more light. So far the female as gotten more
interested
with the nesting box, with the added light. Oh well, and guess as the old
saying goes...."Patience is a virtue"
