DIA SPRIGGS was thinking about Re: ADD and ADHD and keyed into
cyberspace:

Dia, that is just not true. Pycnogenol has never been shown to be even
slightly effective in treating ADHD.
One of the leading researchers in the world on Pycnogenol (a trademarked
product) is a Richard Passwater, Ph. D. Dr. Passwater has written and
researched this extensively, and in all of his writings, he makes
absolutely no mention of Pycnogenol being useful in treating ADHD.
If you surf the web, you will find dozens of MLM sales sites where they
tout Pycnogenol as the end all of treatments for ADHD. However, when you
ask for PROOF, other than anecdotal (of somewhat dubious veracity), you
get none.
In alt.support.attn-deficit, Pycnogenol salescritters regularly pop up.
Their sales pitches consist of variants of several basic stories, but
are all essentially the same.
There is NO credible evidence that Pycnogenol should affect dopamine
transport in the brain.
The Few. The Proud. The Chosen.
