The Shrub is truly fucked.  He has gotten into something that is resulting
in a war that will consume the Middle East and much of the rest of the
Islamic world, and he is powerless to stop it.

One of the options now being considered in Washington is to pick a winning
side in Iraq and support it.   Since the winning side will be
Shi'ite, no matter what the US does,  Bush is talking to them.

Of course as soon as the option of backing the Shi'ite majority came up
Dick Cheney was summoned by his Masters in Saudi Arabia and threatened with
a schismatic war and the destruction of world oil markets.
