Its recommendations have been predictable for months - get out in a way
that lets you blame the Iraqis and leaves a few clear months before the
Presidential elections.  What's new about that?

I do not see the USA being able to keep substantial bases in the region.

All bets are off if Musharraf or Nazif loses power.
