Does anyone know if there is an e-mail, web, or other electronic
access to the American Endurance Ride Conference? I am looking
for a rule book in electronic format, if possible.
The question is genuine, but also a sneaky intro to boasting that
last Saturday Shemmeek and I have completed OUR FIRST sanctioned
25-mile endurance ride. 4th place out of 9 entries, total score
655 out of maximum possible 800 !!
Shemmeek took it all in his stride, including the trailering. I
have no trailer, and this was the first time I hired someone to
haul him. The two-horse was a little small, but he must have had
previous experience, judging how he accommodated to it. This was
only an 8 miles to drive, on a longer one I would like a bigger
rig, if possible. Or is it normal that they must lower their head
for hauling?
The morning after he was just as happy to see me as always, and
no visible damage done. I just groomed, though, and then bareback
rode him the 50 yards back to his daypen.
On the ride people were helpful and nice, but I still felt a
little handicapped by not having actually read the rules. I know
I can write for them, but this computer habit makes one lazy,
nothing like electronic searching of a document to find the right
spot, hence my request here.
       Regards Emil
