*already* chose sides for all intents and purposes. Did you really
think the Sunni would say "aw heck, we lose our privileged status, but
we're free from Ba'ath dictatorship [which had been intimately intertwined
with the privileged status] so it's a net plus, thanks Dubya"....?

That the war hawks were too fucking stupid to realize it then, and are now
fondling the notion as a shiny new "option," is sadly revealing.
