Hello Deb and listers,
We had some Sambo's Restaurants in Massachusetts where I am from.  Mary
told me that there were some in Wisconsin as well.  Mary is not sure what
happened to their restaurants in Wisconsin, but in massachusetts the chain
changed the name to Family Sam's, and as fqar as I know they are still in
business; at least in New England.

Actually, Sambo's declared bankruptsy and closed the business. Many of the
locations were sold to other restaurant chains. No one chain bought all of
the Sambo's locations. Again, a sad story, as Sambo's put out a reasonably
good product at a reasonable price.
