FW>Before the days of political correctness, many, if not most,
FW>business letters, begin with the salutation of "Gentlemen".
FW>So my question:
FW>what is the politically correct salutation to begin a business
FW>letter?
I have switched to using the company name or title. So I'd write
on my letter
Dear Biz$hop or Dear Sprint.
Of course, the dear here means even less than it did with a name!
I've toyed with the idea of leaving off a salutation
altogether, but then it looks too abrupt. Other thoughts?
