I made mention of this sometime ago myself. I agree with you but there's one
very good reason why. You have to understand that "stock" whatever it is
usually already in the vendor's store/warehouse and these value added deals
come later. Any new stock will of course have it avilable but older stock,
no. Upon a rebate deal the rebate materials are then made available to the
customer. You can easily look at it both ways and can assume the worse, but
really it not. As for the time involved, yeah it takes awhile but most
manufacturers don't deal directly with the consumer w/rebates but use an
independant co. that does this work. Alas, they can have to actually touch
this stuff, etc. to verify what's what and that does take time, as "it's in
the system" sorta speak.
 > Plan"... why don't I just address it to "Steal me, I'm
 > worth $xx to
 > anyone who opens this letter and changes my name/
 > address"? Other then

You got a computer, make a text file, copies, etc. and keep it achieved. I
usully use a printed form myself attaching all the required paperwork and it
usually has produced good results. I like to think that whomever handles this
can read my printed form and basically sees that I'm ready to deal with
negative results. -_-_-Bill
