From: "John Beamish" If by "they" you mean Canadian PBI, then the answer is no. It was always put to the Canadian populace that this was combat and some would not be coming home. The first four died on a training ground the US had set up when they were bombed by a US pilot. You may remember some of the discussions here about that incident.
