Actually, Denny's and Sambo's were 2 separate chains although
they may have had the same corporate owner.  I remember my
parents stopping at a Sambo's in LaFayette La. on the way to New
Orleans from Houston and there were also Denny's restaurants in
the area.  I don't know the story behind Sambo's bankruptcy, but
I think they were two entirely separate chains.
