I don't know about the U.S.A., but we sure do have these in Canada!
They are favorites with my two 5-year old grandsons and also with my
five grown-up children!! They would be pretty upset if they didn't find
at least one "Kinder Surprise" in their stocking!
They can be purchased singly almost anywhere here, or you can purchase
them by the case (24) at the Price-Costco stores.
RS> RS> If I knew really what they are, I might be able to find out.
Ross, they are not at all messy. I would be happy to send you a few if
you are interested. They are wrapped in foil and when you unwrap them,
you have a chocolate egg with a line around it. About the size of an
that it is "lined" with white chocolate. Inside is a yellow container,
something like a film container or pill bottle, but it, too, comes apart
in the middle. Inside is a toy...can be almost anything...from tiny
wooden locomotives, with wheels that really turn! ... to little figures
or vehicles to put together. There is a great variety and I have never
seen the same toy twice!
One of my grandsons does not even bother with the chocolate...he gives
the two halves to his mom and dad and gets right to the toy. I keep
them in the freezer, especially in the summer, so that there is no
problem opening them up. A warm, mushy "Kinder Surprise" is no fun!
Anyway, that's about it. Take care.. Marj
Hope you are not having the terrible storms that we see on the TV.
We had it pretty bad around New Years, then it seemed that spring was on
it's way. Today, it is snowing again, and we have "Ice Storms"
predicted for the night.
Be nice when spring is sprung!
