yes, many of us do but sometimes RL doesn't allow for such... that's one reason
why there are IP only nets... it is also why it takes more time to contact some
*Cs than others... they may check their FTN stuff only once every few weeks or
so... that is perfectly allowed by policy, too...

for some undeityly reason some folks seem to have the idea that as the network
grows smaller, it should be easier to contact folks but that is definitely NOT
the case... it wasn't the case when the network was first getting started,
either ;)
