I had a 1975 pickup truck that I put over 250,000 miles on.  I don't
remember ever having many problems with it.  For the most part, it just got
its oil changed and greased regularly, and I gave it a set of new tires
every now and then.  The most problem I ever had out of it was that it was
a wreck magnet - it was crashed three times.
