subject: ATM Attaching mirror to grinder

Hello all
Just finishing up some more pieces for my mirror grinder. An aluminum
plate to attach to the back of the mirror with a ball joint.to connect to
the overarm of the grinder.
I was wondering what the usually method of attaching the mirror to the
plate would be? Pitch, tape??
And would putting a piece of ply(1/8") on the bottom of the alum offer
a better surface to attach to.
Mainly worried about how well the pitch will stick to the aluminum.
some pictures of the latest parts.
