This problem plagues me as well; 2 w2k systems using shared printer on
the OS/2 box.

'net session \\$remote_host /delete'  on the OS/2 system 
gets things started again.

my w2k users probably don't have enough privs to generate a fix from
their end.

access from os/2 to the w2k drive shares works fine
w2k systems shut down nightly; os/2 system up constantly
