KJ> Welcome to the club! I usually end up losing sleep to do my e-mail
KJ> stuff.
Tell me about it! I'm on CompuServe on the other side trying to catch up.
Work, work, work-- I crave the life of a bird !
KJ> Like humans, some birds seem to have higher IQ's than others. That's
KJ> great that you got a smart one, but watch out--the smart ones end up
KJ> running YOUR life too!
I know!!! Every morning, it's like: pick me up, pick me up! "You won't pick
me up...? Okay-- I'll come to you!" ! Ugh!
He's so spoiled though!
KJ> Be glad...conure noises aren't nearly as pretty as cockatiel noises!
Oh, we get those also .
KJ> All my tiels who were raised within sight of the conures grew up knowing
KJ> how to do this.
Yes, but you are a bird-lady, whereas I am not. When I first saw him do
this, I was stunned!
KJ> But the ones who came from other aviaries had to LEARN
KJ> by watching the tiels who already knew how--they didn't do it right
KJ> away. It's definitely a learned behavior, IMHO. Gotta run, work
KJ> beckons...
I guess so! I've had the distinct pleasure of actually watching him go
through these learning steps and it's been amazing.
Hey, Kathy... I was wondering if you could answer the following for me. We
have a "Peach-Fronted Conure"-- are they rare???
