Sounds like you're doing everything you know how to do.  I think perhaps you 
must realize you are doing all you can and whatever the outcome is not in 
your hands.  As you know, everyone is here to go thru a learning (whatever it 
may be) and at times there is nothing that can be done except let whatever is 
supposed to be, be.  Perhaps the end result is already written and it's just 
a matter of accepting whatever that may be and realizing that it was some 
kind of learning experience for both of you.
