Correction, Binkley, after reporting "RINGING", and then a
few lines of stats from the connect, decides to swallow the
rest of the lines.  When I dialed manually, there were 
actually about 7 lines of connect messages, then the CONNECT
string.  It even has the line quality there, for people who
don't use BTPE's Afterconnect statement!  Very good.  Now
all I have to do is modify BTPE to make it allow all those
extra strings before the CONNECT.  Top stuff!  BFN.  Paul.
