Hiya Neil.

Ahh, I thought about using a Wonder for combat, but then I decided against
it, as a plain old flying Wing is faster/cheaper/easier and more manouverable
for the job :)

Yeah, I also went astray from the recomendations (who doesn't though eh?) and
used an OS .20. After using this model for 3 years, I then built a new wonder
and retired the other one. The new one is using a brand spanking new OS .25
and is using the "Blue Angel" design. Looks good at full speed :>

Holy Cow :) I lent the plans to a mate of mine, and next weekend he came out
to the field with a whopping great monster. It was a .40 sized Wonder! :>
He used the wing of an old trainer, built the fuse and stab to match. Added
the gear and a steerable nose leg. Flew rather nice actually, but take off
was ridiculous as there was no rudder. After picking up a bit of speed, the
plane ignored the nose gear, so things got hairy :)
> it always wanted to snap when hand launched.. well at least when I
All my wonders so far have pulled very sharp right turns when hand launched,
but no snapping.

Hahahahaha! That's a new one I'll have to put down in the book
> question is to you is where exaclty do you have the CG on yours and
Hmm,
Weeeel, by dividing the integer over the hypotenuse of the flim flam, then
getting the quotient of the pink elephant, we find that.....
I have the CG right where they show it on the plan, on the main wing spar.
BUT, I don't use the radio configuration they do. I use a 4oz Kraft Slant
tank, and pushed right up the front under it, I have the 4 cell flat pack for
the receiver. Then just in front of F4 (fourth former) I have the receiver.
in between the receiver and F3, I have a throttle servo taped sideways to the
bottom. After all this is done, it balances very nicely with the .20 or the
.25 I have.

Answered that :)

Ergh, I couldn't stand a .09 after all the fun I've had with speeding around
in this thing.
