Hi All,
I received a mail from my good friend John Crawford. He has been called-up to
go to Iraq and has been informed he'll be gone about 14 months.
John is a medic in Missoula, Montana. Working the odd-shift to support his
family and trying to work his way through medical school to become a doctor.
He's a Blackfeet-indian and wants to be of service to "his people".
He's got 3 children younger than 5 years old who depend on him. People like
John should be protected and given every chance to deploy themselves, not
having to go to a war that is not his with the risk that his wife will be
widowed prematurely and his children will not really ever remember their
father.
Please read.

************************* QUOTE *************************
Everyone,
GOOD MORNING!
Greetings form Dana Ana Base Camp, NM part of Fort Bliss TX.
I am doing well, Another day of Active duty about to go down the drain. And
about 48 hours away from my 40th yes, the BIG 4 0 count them forty candles
AND A FIRE EXTINGUISHER NEAR BY BIRTHDAY.
parts of me are sagging but luckily I have a kevlar bullet resistant vest to
lift and separate. Not to mention the stylish kevlar helmut and 9mm pistol
to cap off the fashion statement.
the whole 116th Brigade will be heading to Fort Polk LA, in about 10 days or
so, for a validation excerise, then block leave and then overseas. I should be
occupying my new home foxhole #3649B
by the 1 OF DEC.
I am in good spirit, better physical shape, alittle slimmer, and healthy. I
hope this finds everyone in good health and good spirits.
If there are any care packages floating around please send them before
wednesday, or wait until I can get you a address for Fort Polk, LA. The
army mail system is slow and ineffiecent when comes to getting mail from
BLDG 2444 to us in the 1/163 IN BN.
Ok, take care, have a good day!
JOHN
