Hi Loren, thanks for the info!  So do you have a Sportster 56k modem?
Did it pass the test?  I guess the test only lets you know if your
phone lines to the test line are 56k able, and the modem works at 56k. 
 
I only hope I am able to get my modem soon, with the UPS strike it may
take a while.  I did not realize UPS delivers 80% of all packages in
the USA; the US Post Office is swamped and cannot deliver all larger
items that need to be shipped.  Hopefully my modem, being small, was
shipped after the strike occured via the US Post Office and not UPS.
 
Anyways, thanks for the info and let me know if your 56k modem passed
the test.  Supposedly the problems with the 56k chip upgrade where due
to the old circuit board and by shipping me a new modem with the chip
in a new circuit board it is not supposed to have any problems...we
will see ;-)  [Fingers Crossed]
