Hopefully I'll get a chance to check this when I get home, that check
my path installation.  Since PPD installation works for me (I have
even been able to clean up bad PPD installation), I will provide
details of my installation to see if that helps.

Instptr is a helper application to eCS printer installation.  I assume
you are not finding the printer listed in the eCS list.

Another option is to use the old fashioned OS/2 method.  Open the
auxiliary pack and drag the new driver to the printer folder.

Since you cannot find the new files, try searching for them using PMSeek.
