Two days ago, in the conservative stronghold of Alberta, we just accidentaly
elected a majority gov't of the furthest left party here as a result of the
protest vote.  Be careful what you wish for, sometimes it's better the devil
you know than the one you don't. 

I'm new to fidonet and so don't have a great feel yet in terms of all the who's
who, though both Janis and Bob have been very helpful and accomodating when
I've talked to them, and as such I have a fair bit of respect for both already.
I will however admit that the number of duds in the nodelist is annoying. The
fact I can't reach my NC by netmail is, imo, quite ironic, and a possible real
issue.
