subject: non-OOP constructor call

 [ Quoting Ian Lin to Scott Little ]

I used to use a BBS door kit called FKFOSSIL. It allowed me to do this:
(* ------------------------------------------------------------------------
)
{$F+}
procedure fx_nulllostcarrier;
begin
end;
{$F-}
(* ------------------------------------------------------------------------

fk_lostcarrier := fx_nulllostcarrier;
and the fk_lostcarrier will then do whatever was in fx_nulllostcarrier (in
this case, nothing).
