Heard about the new US/Canada SDL yet?  Somebody accidentally leaked it
onto the Internet while it was still in beta, and those who managed to
install it were able to verify that it has such goodies as carrier-loss
redial, inbuilt fax/data discrimination, and caller ID, to name just a few
of the feature upgrades.  Who said that flash-ROM upgrades were a waste of
time then?  :)
