These are my opinions on what I think will happen, not what I hope will
happen. I hope that John Manley will defeat Paul Martin for the Liberal
leadership, but I don't think that will happen. I hope that David Orchard's
agenda will be pushed to the forefront with the PC party, but I don't think
that will happen either.

Looking at all the angles, I feel that Paul Martin will be our next Prime
Minister, and the fact of the matter is, I dread it. He reminds me too much
of Brian Mulroney, and I feel he will bring the same sorts of policies to
our Federal Government, through pandering to big business and US interests,
to the detriment of many Canadians. I sincerely hope that I am wrong about
Paul Martin, but I've seen nothing thus far to change my opinions of him.

So far, one of my predictions has come true. MacKay has won the PC
leadership handily, with more than 64% of the delegates' support.
