<< IMO it doesn't make sense to talk about zorchtok for nucleic acids.
Zorchtok keeps your polynucleotide intact for a few years, rather than
a few days, say. It still is destroyed long before it can "evolve" into
something. Just how many years of zorchtok are you talking about here
before your molecules "learn" how to reproduce?

I don't think they learn as much as refine the
forced replication being done by the sun.
Energy moderation and modification through
zorchtok.

Just like PCR - its' the heat cycle that is forcing
the replication (or specifically the denaturing of
pairs and annealing of new hybrids).
It's during this period that novel hybrids would
'zorchtok' and refine the system.
Also I would think more monomers would be
made as you go along.

I don't know how many years, but the sun gives us
unlimited energy and daily cycling and that is
much longer than the fluke scenarios that are
in vogue now.
Also any system of replication would have the
same problems. In my scenario these
prebiotic molecules are already
somewhat 'zorchtoked' to their environment.
So if anything will survive its these.

Other scenarios seem to have a pop and adapt
idea. First it pops up then (it has a grace
period where the environment in no way effects
its survival - how sweet) then it adapts through
the correct def. of selection. IMO that can't
happen because there is no grace period.
Zorchtok is in existence all through this period.

I would think the boundaries of my scenario are
1. the time these molecules can stay in existence
2. the ability of the environment to keep producing
more monomers, etc.
2. the temperature cycle of the cooling sun that
would drop below this temperature 'window of opportunity' for life to begin.
