 GP> No kidding!  Can you remember when you thought
 GP> pigging out on chocolate was the greatest
 GP> pleasure EVER???     How young we were!

Remember ?

WW2 memories of getting a monthly handout of American chocolate 
powder, measured out into a half-pound tin at school and taken 
home to thwart the sugar/sweets rationing.

Three hours of plane-spotting for the Home Guard, and then 
celebrating the night's 2 or 3 downed Hun aircraft by scoffing the 
chocolate in bed by candlelight....

Discovering that NO RATIONING operated on the `48 ship to NZ out 
of Liverpool ... and being hugely sick on chocolate in the Irish 
Sea...

And then arriving in chocolate heaven - NZ's Cadbury Chocolate 
Land, mixing best cocoa with the universe's creamiest milk at only 
pennies per pound block....

Pigging out ?  Remember ?

D'you know, in the Club last night young Colonel Frogmorton- 
Pfieffer asked me when I'd last consumed a luscious bit ... and I 
muttered "1948" to a chorus of coarse comments and raised 
eyebrows.

Confusion reigned when I pointed out that it was only 2000hrs when 
he asked .... and very nice it was, too.
