SG> I receive messages to me in echoes I'm not even signed up for. This BBS,
SG> and possibly Terry's as well, simply marks any message
 SG> with the same name
SG> in the To: field and brings it to my attention.
My BBS defaults to offering all echos a user's access allows to be scanned
or
new mail, though offering a couple of options to pick tagged echos only.
hat
other namesake appears to be a user of someone else's BBS.
SG> (Yes, my name is not that common. My problem is that this BBS has one
SG> echo on here twice. Any message to me in the Militia
SG> echo I'll receive on two successive days.)
The odds are you're talking about a situation of Fido gating of PRN echos, on
a
BBS that carries both. That would be MILITIA on Fido and PRMLITIA on PRN,
nd
probably have a like situation with PAUL_REVERE Fido gated from PR_NET.
