NH> If I receive the four bytes in the order: A B C D NH> Is the proper way to rearrange these bytes: B A D C AL> According to my sources, no. AL> A dword is not two words, it's byteswapped in full. The way I learned was that converting from a big-endian 32-bit value to a 32-bit little-endian value is really a two step process. 1) The bytes in each 2-byte pair are swapped. (BADC) 2) The 2-byte pairs themselves are swapped. (DCBA) I think that the only difference between these two approaches is in the semantics. * KWQ/2 1.2i * --- FLAME v1.1* Origin: Port Chicago's Loading Dock - 510-676-5359 (1:161/204) SEEN-BY: 396/1 622/419 632/371 633/260 267 270 371 634/397 635/506 728 810 SEEN-BY: 639/252 670/213 218 @PATH: 161/204 42 215/34 270/101 396/1 633/260 635/506 728 633/267 |
