It briefly mentions the use of Alex's tool but mostly is a how-to on manual conversion. Alex's tool should "just work" so I didn't see a lot of purpose in describing it, however, if you do have problems with it then the instructions for manual conversion explain what the tool is doing and give the information to see what might be going wrong.
