It seemed to when I used it.  No known security holes for that one - but it
can be a right royal pita if you happen to need the command mode escape
yourself.

Transfer rate will tell.  (But only in the active direction - remember, the
blasted baud rate splits, and the nasties I've been finding lately are one
direction only at a time.)

It is.   So's a brand new balsawood toy airplane.  The balsawood will break
off - so will the modem top if you aren't VERY careful with the little
plastic arms that are all that hold the lid on.
