In response to Andy's posting, just as your reply arrived, I was just 
about to post the following:

the size of that auxprint.pak is 1,916 bytes, the PPD file was 11,489 bytes.

I had already used Alex Taylor's instpdr.exe, from Betazone, "installed" 
as per included directions.

Will try again selecting from drivers other than those included with 
eComStation, and advise outcome.
