Unless I'm mistaken, your degree is in a particular *branch* of science, is
it not? That's my point. That if someone actually *does* hold a degree in
or has studied a particular discipline, they'll generally say "I have
a degree in/have studied biology", or physics, or mathematics, or
whatever it is they've studied. They usually won't speak of it generically.

One could take a generic science course in college, I suppose, but unless
the name of the college includes the words 'Christian' or
'Bible', I don't think they're handing out any degrees in it.
