Less, about 5C. That's what the temperature is deep down, and a storm will
mix the water so that the cold stuff comes to the surface. That's mostly
why there were so few survivors, you can't live long in that cold water.

Nobody knew at that night what had actually happened, just that it was
something major. I was just scared - like most of the people waiting there.
Only the next day we started realizing what had happened, and then we were
sent home as we weren't needed anymore. I think that was the most difficult
moment, when I realized why I wasn't needed anymore.
