Well, there's some truth in that too. Combined British and Canadian forces
liberated the west of the country, took Brussels and secured the port of
Antwerp.
 
The Americans moved south of that and liberated the southern provinces, the
Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and then made a heroic stand in Bastogne (Battle
of the Bulge) for which they deserve full credit. Bastogne for all intents
and purposes is Belgian soil.
