I said I didn't want to start an "operating system" war, and that's
exactly what you're doing!
I said from the beginning that I was an OS/2 fan, YOU DON'T NEED TO
CONVINCE ME!!!!
I just said that when you choose ANY computer system, you should be
looking at the applications first. Computer and OS come second.
If I had my choice of computer, I'd be using an Amiga...but I have
to go where there's the chance of making the most money, and that's
Windows 95.
GK> Ever try running Win 3.1 stuff under Win95?
GK> Even DOS apps have problems.
I sorry, but someone has been spinning you a yarn. I run 3.1, 3.0,
and DOS applications in Win95 ALL THE TIME. In fact, my mail
program and this editor that I'm typing this on are DOS programs.
A lot of my custom database programs that I have are DOS programs.
I have no problems whatsoever!
I repeat now for the third time, I don't want to start an OS war.
My message was to point out to those that the applications required
to get the job done should come first. Everything else is secondary.
