Lori can't go but she offered her good gymkhana horse, Otis, who has
some dressage training, and Jet, her AQHA gelding. I have seen both horses
on the trail and used for team penning, and while I feel that Otis has some
stiffness from years of gymkhana (and he ALWAYS wins money at it) both would
be suitable for the ride.
In my country, it is bad etiquette to run the fat off another man's
cattle
- generally, on a cattle drive, you just ride alongside them at a walk and
occasionally go after strays. It'll be like a trail ride with cattle. But
it is an AWESOME opportunity to go on a REAL cattle drive on a REAL ranch,
not a fake one set up for dudes and dudettes.
