I have an external. What occupation are you in? I mean, how do you know
¨these things, because they are very handy to know when purchasing and
¨evaluating modems.

A friend had a Diamond v.34 and it seemed to be very poor. Or maybe it
might ¨have been a software incompatibilty. His Diamond was not austel
approved, is ¨that possible? He seemed to get a lot of BBS hangs under
Remote Access.

Missing the isolating cover? I don't know what that is, but it sounds
pretty ¨important! Sounds dodgy to me. I like externals...
