Speaking of which....on Saturday I went swimming in the North Sea.....it
was actually quite warm & I didn't need promises of a posthumous VC to
get me in.

In fact...it was oddly warm....I think the North Sea is the warmest I've
ever known it & (A) I do a swim at least every year & (B) we've had
a sh*t summer so far & (C) I didn't have a drop of alcohol in me.

my little girl started shivering after a few minutes but that's coz she's
little & a girl 

but other than that....even swam under water etc...bit of an "Oh my
g*d" as I waded in deeper than my shorts....
