just a quick question. We had a situation where we had a file that came
off our HP3000 as 184 bytes (it likes even numbers, and kinda chokes on
odd file sizes) long. we had to produce a file 183 bytes for someone
at the federal level. So we blocked a character column at 184 and
deleted with TSE PRO 2.6. We could see in hex that the columns were
filled in with, ex: "31 20 20 20 20 00" the "00" in 184. when we
were done we ended up with "31" all the spaces were gone "20 20 20 20"
we may not have a problem. how can I prevent this from happening?
