Provided all the chemical details of your scenario are correct, the idea
sounds simple enough for the same conditions to be recreatable in
laboratories.
Is it? And is it being attempted anywhere?

I would think it would be able to be recreated.
And it should work in an obvious and demonstrable
manner if correct.

But I don't think anyone has tried it
or anything like it.

I asked friends if anyone had even tried heating up
amino acids and RNA nucleotides at the same
time in a heat cycle. No one knew of such an
experiment. AFAIK that has never been done.

As of this week I would add this ingredient
to any experiment along these lines.
There must be UV as a selection force  (see
new thread)
